The Spy Camera Pen can be a tad tricky at first, so we wanted to make this quick start guide to make it as easy as possible for you to learn how to use it.
To turn power on/off: Press the button for 2 seconds, and a green light will turn on. It is now in standby mode.
To record video: Press the button for 2 seconds and let go. The LED on the back will flash green three times and turn off; it’s
now recording video. Press the button once and it will stop recording and go back into standby.
To turn power off: Hold down the button for 2 seconds and it will power down.
To view the video: Plug the video pen into a computer. It will then show up as a disk drive on your computer, and inside the
drive are the videos you recorded earlier. You may need to download VLC media player to playback the file if you are having
trouble with Windows Media Player or Quicktime.
To set the date/time: While the video pen is plugged into a computer, make a new text file directly onto the memory card and
name it ‘time’ (without quotes). Open the text file, and key in the date/time exactly as follows: 2012.31.12 23.59.00
Save this file and unplug the camera. The date/time is now saved.
To charge the battery: Use the included USB cable and connect the camera to your computer’s USB port. The light will flash
red while the battery is charging and turn solid green when charging is done.
